We would like to inform our guests that a shorter 40 - 45 minutes Puszta carriage program runs depending on the weather at the Máta Stud Farm in March and April.
During this program you get on Nonius horses drawn ekho-like carriages and you can see rack (long hair) sheep in their special stables and  the famous traditional horsemen and Puszta Five shows.
Prices: 3.300.-Ft/adult, 2.000.-Ft/child (3-18 years), family ticket (2 adults + 2 children 3-18 years) 9.000.-Ft/family, each additional child 1.700.-Ft/person
March 14-15, March 21-22, March 28-29. 2026 - only on weekends (Saturday-Sunday)

The program starts from Nyerges Cafe in Máta Stud Farm and goes into Máta Puszta, which is part of the Hortobagy National Park. Our vehicles are Nonius horses-drawn, „ekho”-like carriages. Our guests can meet native Hungarian domestic animals in their natural surroundings, their keeping and breeding, the world of shepherds and  enjoy the endless view of the Puszta. After the tour visitors can walk around the stud, visit the stables and the pottery workshop, where Jozsef K.Nagy manufactures beautiful and unique black potteries. In the Visitor Centre can be seen an interactive exhibition about horses. Cafe Nyerges is also a must-see stop. Its traditional interior is very welcoming. While you are having your beverage you can enjoy the view of the Central stable through a glass wall.

Getting to Máta Stud Farm

From Debrecen on the main road no.33, after the Nine-Hole Bridge take direct the first exit to the right.

From Tiszafüred on the main road no.33 just before the Nine-Hole Bridge turn to the left.

Máta Stud Farm is about 2,5 km away from te village.

Parking places: next to the Visitor Center or Nyerges Cafe

The program depends on the weather and field conditions. The program might change and cancel due to unforeseen reasons.

Bookings for groups must be agreed in advance by email.

For individual guests booking by email or phone is recommended.

Please arrive 20 minutes before start to Nyerges Cafe Information Point, Máta Stud. Booking seats in advance is recommended.

At the Info Desk in the Nyerges Cafe tickets can be purchased no later than 10 minutes before starting time (9.50, 12.50 and 15.20)

Pets are not allowed on the tour.

The Puszta Tour is not recommended for ladies that expecting.
